"I love my DUI drysuit and would not dive any other suit "

Dear DUI,

I started scuba diving with my family at the age of 15. Even as a novice, my principal goal has always been to become a technical diver to satisfy my need of exploring new horizons. My father, my brother and I eventually took advanced courses and at my 21st birthday, I officially became one of the youngest full trimix diver.

Last summer, my family and I went to the Ontario Lake to spend our vacation on the wrecks. The first morning, I noticed with horror that my material had been stolen. My brother, who was wearing a DUI ClX450 drysuit, offered to lend me his equipment. I spent the rest of our vacation diving with his equipment and I fell in love with his drysuit. Back home, I ordered the same suit, a brand new ClX450 Select.

I recently received the very last part of my material and after some preliminary tests; I decided to try my drysuit on an ice dive with my brother at Morrison Quarry, near Ottawa. The weather was mild and we did a one-hour dive. I was nicely surprised to notice that the water’s coldness was not the reason of the end of dive, but only the fact that we almost visited the entire quarry. I was also impressed by my mobility regarding the fact that I dragged almost 100 lbs of heavy cylinders and stages.Nice and warm in my DUI CLX dry suit

The type of dive that we practice implies the use of a specific and high quality material. It is not unusual to plan expeditions exceeding 90 minutes in the cold depths of the Ontario Lake and of the St. Laurent Estuary. At depths between 250' and 300', in water near 39F, the body temperature is a new variable in the physiological calculus of decompressions procedures and becomes proportional to the time that we could spend on these unvisited wrecks. My CLX helps me keep warm while maintaining my mobility in this constraint environment. That is why I love to use a DUI instead of any other suit.
