Dear DUI,

Well, here I am in my “old reliable” TLS350 drysuit. “Old” because I have been diving in this suit for 15 years!...”Reliable” because it still keeps me dry, warm, and comfortable, even in the chilly canyon waters off the coast of San Diego. This is a testament to the quality that goes into these extremely flexible suits. And, as if this wasn’t enough, I had DUI’s zip seals installed 2 years ago. Now, even my hands enjoy that toasty comfort…a critical benefit when you’re shooting underwater photos in cold water conditions.

But, “all good things must come to an end” they say. Though there is no evidence that this cliché applies to “old reliable” I couldn’t pass up DUI’s recent drysuit promotion. And so, I am having my “new reliable” TLS350 manufactured. With new colors and a whole array of accessories and features, every dive will be “custom fit”. I can’t wait!

With hundreds of dives on my current suit, I see no reason why I won’t enjoy hundreds more on the new suit. And as a bonus, if at some time down the road I decide to send my new suit in for a repair or upgrade, I’ll still have “old reliable” as a back-up, so I’ll never have to miss an opportunity to dive. Dry, warm, comfortable, flexible, customized, accessorized, and, of course, reliable…what diver could ask for more? My DUI drysuit is my best friend in the water!
