Many Ships to Reefs projects outside North America have been waiting for international guidelines. After years of consultation, the Scientific Committee of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) have approved a clear set of guidelines for Ships to Reefs projects that meet the key environmental standards. Jay Straith will take you through the development of these guidelines and how they can be implemented to assist you in starting an artificial reef in your region.
