About the Event & Location

Your event ticket, $5 for advance purchase and $10 if purchased on-site, entitles you to participate in all aspects of the demos, enjoy a barbecue lunch, and participate in the raffle. Diving in the mine will be an additional cost to the event ticket. However, participating in this event entitles you to a discounted rate of $30 per dive (usual price of $60 per dive). Pre-registration is required and you will be assigned a specific time for your dive. Please allow for sufficient time to arrive and set up your gear (1 1/2hr or so) as the assigned time will be the time you should be ready to dive, not the time to arrive. Prior to the demo, each diver will be fitted with the appropriate drysuit and other equipment. Tanks and air fills are included. If you need to rent gear, please let them know when making reservations. Call 888-843-3483 or 314-209-7200 for making reservations.

For those who want to stay overnight and make a weekend of it, there is camping less than 5 miles from the mine at St. Francis State Park 573-358-2173, www.mostateparks.com/stfrancois.htm; St. Joe's State Park 573-431-1069 www.mostateparks.com/stjoe.htm. For reservations at both sites, call (toll free) 877-422-6766. Schedule for the Day

Registration and Test Dives: 9am to 5pm Saturday and 9am-4pm Sunday
Registration will begin at 8am on Saturday and 8:30am on Sunday. Each diver must sign up for a specific time in advance. If you miss your slot, we will do our best to accommodate you at a later time. All divers will need to show your certification card at the facility. You will also need to complete a liability release form and rental form and we will ask that a credit card or drivers license be held as a deposit. A parent or guardian who can sign the appropriate forms must accompany participants under 18. These forms are available from your local dealer or on-line so you can fill them out in advance if you like.

We will begin sizing divers in drysuits on at 9am. After getting dressed in the drysuit, you will be lead down into the mine with your group. An experienced drysuit diver or instructor and a Bonne Terre Mine guide will escort the group on your dives. If you would like to demo a different drysuit on the second dive, please let your guide know so someone can go to the tent and exchange suits for you

Barbecue Lunch: 11am to 2pm
This is included in the event ticket price and is served to all participants from 11am –2pm. Please plan your dive schedule appropriately. Family members of participants can enjoy the barbecue lunch for only $5. Small children are free with a paid adult.

“How to” Seminars

Informative and fun “How to” seminars will be taught throughout the weekend. Our most popular seminar is DUI Field Repair Seminar. We will demonstrate seal replacement, finding and patching holes, changing valves and overall tips on maintaining drysuits. Space is limited and pre-registration is recommended. To register contact DUI Customer Service directly at CustomerService@DUI-Online.com or 800.325.8439. Other seminars on photography will be offered by Joe Wysocki of Optiquatics. A schedule with more detailed information will be posted in the tent.

Underwater Digital Cameras from SeaLife and Optiquatics
Demos will also be held Saturday and Sunday and will be available for all participating divers. This is a great activity for DOGs who bring friends to try DUI products. Your images will be copied onto a CD (for FREE!) so you can take home and share with friends and family.

Saturday Evening Dinner & Program: Saturday 6pm
This is a great opportunity to talk with dive industry leaders, have a great dinner and talk diving! Joe Wysocki fro Optiquatics will give a fun presentation on DUI and some of the exciting adventures you can have with your DUI drysuit. The dinner will be held in the DUI tents. The entire evening is only $5 per person for tickets purchased in advance or $10 per person if ticket is purchased on-site.

Special Opportunities for DOGs
DOGs who bring a friend with them to test dive DUI products will receive a FREE DUI Slap Strap as well as a Test Diver hat when they present their DUI equipment and event ticket.

Door Prizes for All Participants
  • All divers who complete the demo will get a commemorative DUI TEST DIVER hat and have their names entered into a drawing for more prizes.
  • New this year! All participants including staff are entered to win dive trips donated by dive operations around the world. We will give away smaller prizes at each event with the grand prizes of free trips with the Nautilus Explorer and Optiquatics being given away at the end of the year.

Things to Bring

We also have DUI hoods, BCS Systems and Weight & Trim systems available for demo. You will need to supply your own weights or rent them from a nearby dive store.
  • While you are welcome to bring undergarments of your own, we will have Polartech® PowerStretch®, Thinsulate™, Thinsulate™ Ultra, Thinsulate™ LiteLoft™ and ActionWear garments to test dive as well as booties to wear on your feet under the drysuit.
  • Diver certification card and credit card for deposit
  • Wear clothing appropriate for the weather and bring your own favorite snacks, drinks, etc.
