| About the Event & Location |
Your
DUI event ticket, which is $5 if purchased in advance or
$10 on-site, entitles you to participate in all aspects
of the demos, enjoy a barbecue lunch, and participate in
the raffle. Admission to the park is free. You can find
more information about the area at www.gloucesterma.com or www.divenewengland.com.
All activities will begin at 9am on Saturday and Sunday.
When you reach the location, you will see two large tents.
The tents will protect us from the weather so, come rain
or shine, we’ll be diving! Air fills & rental
dive gear are available at Cape Ann Divers only a few miles
away.

| Schedule for the Day |
| |
| Registration
and Test Dives: 9am to 5pm Saturday and 9am-4pm Sunday |
| Registration
will begin at 9am on Saturday. All divers will need to show
your certification card at the park. You will also need to
complete a liability release form and rental form and we
will ask that a credit card or drivers license be held as
a deposit. A parent or guardian who can sign the appropriate
forms must accompany participants under 18. These forms are
available from your local dealer or on-line so you can fill
them out in advance if you like.
Test Dives will be conducted Saturday until 5pm and Sunday
until 4pm. All equipment must be returned at that time.
Divers must enter the water by 4pm on Saturday and 3pm
on Sunday to ensure we have the equipment back in time.
Prior to the demo, each diver will be fitted with the
appropriate drysuit and other equipment. Once you are dressed
and ready to dive, you will check in with the divemaster
in charge of the beach who will assign you an instructor
or divemaster as a guide. As soon as there are 2-3 people
ready to go in the water, an experienced drysuit diver
or instructor will escort you on your dive. If you are
a certified drysuit diver, you are welcome to dive on your
own. You can do as many dives as you wish. With numerous
suits there usually is little wait, though you may need
to wait a short time for the specific type of drysuit you
want.
|
| |
| Barbecue Lunch: 11am to 2pm |
| This is included in the event ticket
price and is served to all participants from 11am –2pm.
Please plan your dive schedule appropriately. Family members
of participants can enjoy the barbecue lunch for only $5.
Small children are free with a paid adult. |
| |
| “How to” Seminars |
| Informative
and fun “How to” seminars will be taught throughout
the weekend. Our most popular seminar is DUI Field Repair
Seminar. We will demonstrate seal replacement, finding and
patching holes, changing valves and overall tips on maintaining
drysuits. Space is limited and pre-registration is recommended.
To register contact DUI Customer Service directly at CustomerService@DUI-Online.com
or 800.325.8439. Other seminars on photography will be offered
by Joe Wysocki of Optiquatics. A schedule with more detailed
information will be posted in the tent.
Underwater Digital Cameras and Video from Joe Wysocki
of Optiquatics
Demos will also be held Saturday and Sunday and will be
available for all participating divers. This is a great
activity for DOGs who bring friends to try DUI products.
Your images will be copied onto a CD (for FREE!) so you
can take home and share with friends and family.
|
| |
| Special Opportunities for DOGs |
| DOGs
who bring a friend with them to test dive DUI products will
receive a FREE DUI Slap Strap as well as a Test Diver hat
when they present their DUI equipment and event ticket. |
| |
| Door Prizes for All Participants |
|
All
divers who complete the demo will get a commemorative DUI
TEST DIVER hat and have their names entered into a drawing
for more prizes. DOGs can get a hat upon presentation of
their DUI equipment.
Public Safety Diver Seminar
A special seminar on Friday, May 5th from 10am-5pm will be
open to all public safety divers and instructors. This
program entitled Exposure Protection for Public Safety
Divers is designed to address questions about which type
of drysuit is appropriate for different types of public
safety diving. Diving in contaminated water is a major
topic. All divers will be given the opportunity to do test
dives in DUI products as well. See the Public Safety Fact
Sheet for more detailed information.
|
| |
| Dive the World with DUI |
| New this year! All participants
including staff are entered to win dive trips donated by dive
operations around the world. We will give away smaller prizes
at each event with the grand prizes of free trips with the
Nautilus Explorer and Optiquatics being given away at the end
of the year. |

| Things to Bring |
- Basic scuba equipment including mask, snorkel, open heel
fins, regulator with octopus and gauges, tank, weights, BCD,
and cold water hood and gloves. We will have over 90 drysuits

boots. We also have DUI hoods, BCS Systems and Weight & Trim
systems available for demo. You will need to supply your
own weights or rent them from a nearby dive store.
- While you are welcome to bring undergarments of your own,
we will have Polartech® PowerStretch®, Thinsulate™,
Thinsulate™ Ultra, Thinsulate™ LiteLoft™ and
ActionWear garments to test dive as well as booties to wear
on your feet under the drysuit.
- Diver certification card and credit card for deposit
- Wear clothing appropriate for the weather and bring your
own favorite snacks, drinks, etc.
- Cameras are a great idea. We will be happy to take pictures
of you and your friends.
