“In Austria the water is cold which is why I dive a DUI Drysuit”
Hi my name is Maik and I am proud to say I am a GUE diver here in Austria and I love to dive my DUI drysuit.
It started in when we 2011 the Maldives. After a few days of diving we decided to sign up for a PADI class. From that moment it was great and I have truly fallen in love with scuba diving.
Upon returning from our holidays I get in touch with the local dive center. There I joined many many courses. And I spent a lot of money.
The first year I owned a semi dry neoprene and a normal/regular sport diving equipment. In Austria the water is always so very cold, so decided to buy a DUI drysuit and I selected a TLS350 along with Xm450 DiveWear.
It was great, and I upgraded my gear to doubles and went completely DIR style. After that I heard about the Global Underwater Explorers. This was diving into another level.
My GUE fundamentals was good but not perfect. One of the reasons my DUI drysuit was a bit too small. Since I wanted to purchase a new drysuit and with my target to become a cave diver I bought a FLX Extreme with Xm250 DiveWear.
The Xm250 I use the whole year. It’s perfect for 90 minutes dives in 4 °C cold water. For my GUE Cave 1 education in France I used the DUI jumpsuit. Again it was perfect.
Now I am collecting experience in cave diving which I will use to join the Cave 2 class I have planned in Mexico.
Looking forward for that and I enjoy every second in my DUI drysuit.
