DUI TEACHES PUBLIC SAFETY DIVERS HOW TO BE SAFER WITH SPECIAL TRAINING PROGRAMS

Whether you are part of an established dive team from the big city or a new group trying to get off the ground in a small town, every public safety diver wants to be safer. After all, the goal is to do the job and get home safe. DUI’s Risk Management Program for Public Safety Professionals and Dive Teams help divers do just that. The workshop includes:

• Risks encountered and how to minimize them
• Various contaminants and hazards, exposure protection, alternative methods and decontamination procedures
• The latest research on effect of contaminated water diving, decontamination effectiveness and practicality
• Drysuit materials and designs for different public safety diving scenarios
• Grant availability and writing techniques
• Challenges for public safety diving and how operators can overcome them
• Hands-on ROV demonstrations
