My name is Jenelle Bayus, and I am 12 years old. On June 3rd my dad and I
went to DUI Dry Suit Dog Rally Day, at Gilboa Quarry in Findlay, Ohio. There
we met Dick Long who was a ton of help in fitting us in Dry Suits, and
helping us gear up for the dives. He literally spent the entire day with
us, even dinner. Dick showed us everything from ZipSeals to getting
into the water. He spent so much time that we had to get in the water and
cool off before we finished gearing up. Once we figured out what we were
doing we began to have a ton of fun, but at the same time learn a lot. We
got to do three great dives with Instructor Terry Day. I have had my Open
Water certification for about a year, and just passed my Advanced
Certification. My dad has been Advanced Open Water Certified for about two
years. Neither one of us have ever dove in drysuits and we wanted to go out and
try it. It was quite an experience to be able to dive dry. I loved it!
And thanks to Dick - he made our day most memorable.
