DOG Adventure Pages for Fall 2007

Welcome.  View DOG of the Week, previous DOG of the Week and more DOGs

At DUI we love diving. The people, places, things, locations, weather, salt water, you name it and we love it.  We especially love DUI divers and seeing our equipment in action. Why? Hey we work hard to make these products for you. It's great to see them used in Antarctica, Cozumel or in kelp beds located in our own backyard. So if you have a photo for DOG of the Week or just want to see your photo posted here send it along. Remember to register for DOGs and whatever you do get back in the water.

DUI's DOG of the Week

Dear DUI,

My dive buddies said I should send you my RockBoots and have them put into the "DUI Hall of Fame". They said they are the most used and abused dive boots they have ever seen. Well, I cannot part with them! They are a good conversation piece. Right now I have exactly 1900 dives on these boots.

I did a dive in my DUI today, the air temp was 24 degrees and the water was 45. After the dive I looked at the ice forming on my RockBoots. As always my feet are warm and comfortable.

I really enjoy your adds about the drysuit divers drink vs the wetsuit divers drink. And the towel, the log book etc. But if you wish, you can use one of these for your next add "The drysuit divers boots". I was also going to send you a picture of my wetsuit booties. Which are just like new.

My first drysuit dive was May 23, 1998. I now have 2265 logged dives, 1900 dry. So that leaves only 365 wetsuit dives of which most were in the Caribbean. I do not even own a wetsuit for cold water. Why waste the money. After doing my check out dives in 55 degree water in PA, I could not stand to go back in wet ever again.

Like I tell my students.... "The only way to dive is dry, and only with a DUI."
