Dear DUI,

I just got back from 10 days in Hawaii (Big Island) where I dove with my favorite dive operator anywhere. I was surprised to see all of the staff “Diving Dry”— DUI, of course!

At first it was strange seeing them all diving dry in Hawaii, but they all swear by it. I believe Gerard and Vicky Newman are both former “DOGs of the Week”, too!

Let me introduce you to Colin McDavid, Hawaiian dive guide extraordinaire. He finds all of the cool stuff on Kona. Even though he’s diving in Hawaii, being in the water as much as he is, he (a former bike messenger in Montreal!) tends to get cold while diving there. His solution? Dive a DUI TLS350 drysuit. He gets some strange looks from mainland divers but he doesn’t care—he’s nice and toasty. He loves his DUI drysuit. And in spite of what the photo says, he’s not really a “brute”. I just got done diving with him over the past 10 days and he’s definitely *my* DOG of the week. This is him rinsing off.
