I have been diving for about 18 years and cave diving for about 3. I only dive dry after I started cave diving because I had never been so cold in my life. The transition from recreational wetsuit diving to technical drysuit diving was virtually seamless for me. It only took me 2 or 3 practice dive to get used to being dry. Now it is like second nature. Diving dry, and diving DUI, has allowed me to comfortably extend my bottom time in the chilly Florida caves and allows me to stay warm when I do those extended deco dives.
This photo was taken on a recent visit to the Florida caves. Only after showing it off to friends did someone mention, "hey, you should send that in to DUI for the DOG of the week photo." I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed the dive.
