 I started diving in 2007 by attending an open water course at Oliver Wolf’s “Baltic Dive Center” in Kiel, Germany. I am very proud of passing the exam without any specific limitations in spite of my handicap. My dive master, Yvonne, was great as was the whole team was for all of their support. After my certification, I knew I needed a drysuit because the Baltic Sea’s temperature is at only 2 centigrade during the winter. I also wanted to dive in Lake Hemmoor near Hamburg. It is one of the most popular spots for divers in Germany. I knew I wanted a DUI because DUI was the most experienced drysuit manufacturer for building specially produced drysuits.
I went to my friends at Baltic Dive Center who measured me for a DUI drysuit. They sent the measurements to BtS, their European distributor, who sent them to DUI to see if they could build a suit to fit me with my special needs. They said, "No problem!" and they meant it. It took a little longer than most as they built a mock up suit first and sent it to me to see if it fit before building the actual drysuit. I tried it on and except for two very slight modifications, it was perfect. Four weeks later, I had my very own DUI drysuit.
I love my DUI because it fits me perfectly. Thank you, DUI, for making me one very happy DOG!
