Dear DUI!
I want to share a little story about our DUI drysuits. We live in Norway, Stavanger to be more exact. Water temperatures are very low all year round, so we dive in drysuits the whole year.
My buddy Håkon received his brand new DUI TLS drysuit just before last Xmas. Right away we did 3 dives altogether within one day, in 8 degree celsius waters. We spent nearly 3 hours in the water that day. What can I say, he loves his new suit and is looking forward to more diving.
For myself I bought a second hand DUI drysuit a bit more than a year ago. It is a DUI TLS Army, sold by an army reservist who moved from the coast. The suit was produced in 1989, but still is in excellent condition. The only thing I had to do was to change the latex seals because they were the original ones delivered with the suit. Well, after changing them, which is to be expected after nearly 20 years in service, the suit is perfect again. I have about 130 dives with it, mostly in Norway.
It serves me well, no matter if I am out for pictures with the underwater camera, with wreck diving or with deep diving. It is a good feeling to have trust in the equipment you use, when you are well below a depth of 200ft. My drysuit just works exactly as it is supposed to do.
I attached 2 pictures from our dives. We were out to get some practice with the wide angle lens on my camera, and to pick scallops for dinner.
A little comment: As for Håkon, you can see the DUI logos on the left and right upper arm and on the hood. On mine there are none, since it is an army model.
I hope you find this story appealing to be published on your web page, it would be a great present for Håkon.
Thank you from Norway,
Wolfgang Mathis
