Hi DUI,
I started scuba diving last July at Mermet Springs. I thought that I had it pretty good with my Henderson H2 7 mm wetsuit in the cold water of the quarry. I took my drysuit class on the hottest day in August and was miserable. It was not the best day to try a drysuit. When DUI DOG Days came in September, I tried again and the experiance was great. It was nice to dive in the abyss and stay warm and dry. It was also comfortable on the surface unlike class day in August.
After lots of discussion with Glen, I decided to order the DUI TLS350. After ordering my drysuit, the weather turned cold but I kept diving in my wetsuit. I was pushing for Master Diver and Century Diver by the end of 2009. I kept diving but I had to run to the shower house between dives to warm up.
Finally my new drysuit arrived. I must say that it has been great. I kept diving until December 21, 2009. Some of those days were in the 30's with water temperatures in the 40's. My DUI kept me warm and dry. I'd still be diving but buddies are hard to come by this time of year. We need to get more DUI's at Mermet!
I love my DUI and would love to be DOG of the Week!
Always dive safe,
