"I love diving in my new DUI!"
Kevin originally sent this letter to the attention of Susan Long, DUI President & CEO.
Dear Susan:
Recently I went into a local dive shop and asked if they had a DUI drysuit. I was looking for a CF200. They said they had one. I tried it on, and it fit fairly well (not noticing at the time it was a FLX50/50). I bought the suit. The suit had ZipSeals which I thought I would like, but after 2 dives I decided I did not want them, and I was having trouble getting out of the suit. I went back to the dive shop after I found out the suit was not a CF200, wanting my money back or the right suit, but the shop was closed (out of business).
I called DUI and asked if I could get ZipSeals replaced with regular latex seals Customer service said yes, so I sent the suit out. A few days later I got a call that they had received the suit and they asked if the suit was for my wife. I said “No, why?” The DUI service rep (Jessica) said the reason I was having trouble getting out of the suit was probably because it was a female suit. I was not happy and I asked if there was anything I could do. I told her my dilemma and that I originally wanted a CF200, not a FLX50/50. After checking, I was told that if I was willing to pay the difference and a restocking fee they would make me a CF200. I got measured (at a different dive shop) and now have my new CF200 drysuit.
I was really pleased with the over-the-top customer service that Jessica provided, and that DUI was willing to replace my FLX50/50 suit with a CF200 for a minimal charge.
