norbertwu1 Norbert Wu, a professional underwater photographer, was supported by the National Science Foundation Office of Polar Programs to pursue underwater photography based from McMurdo Station, on Ross Island in Antarctica. Over sixty dives were done both under the ice and in open water. McMurdo Sound seawater has a nearly constant mean annual temperature of -1.86 degrees Celsius (28.65 degrees Fahrenheit) so this was ice diving to the max! Norbert and his supporting team all wore DUI drysuits -- TLS and CF - that performed flawlessly. In addition, McMurdo Station outfits all its divers with DUI Weight and Trim Harnesses which performed well for Norbert and his team.
